Fargo Group unifies transport and terminal operations into a connected intermodal network at Multimodaal

Fargo Group is using Multimodaal Breda to showcase its vision for a connected intermodal operating system that combines transport planning, terminal operations, and network intelligence into a single, integrated SaaS platform.

At the centre of the company’s showcase is the integration of Fargo TOPS, its intermodal container transport management software, and Fargo TERM, its terminal and depot operating software, designed to manage yard, gate, rail, container stock, maintenance, and commercial operations.

Together, the platforms form what Fargo describes as the foundation of the industry’s Connected Intermodal Network – a system designed to bridge the traditional divide between transport execution and physical terminal operations.

“Intermodal performance is won or lost at the point where transport planning meets terminal reality,” says Steve Collins, Managing Director, Fargo Group. “If those systems don’t speak the same language, you get inefficiency, blind spots and delays. Our focus is on giving operators one connected operational backbone rather than a patchwork of tools.”

The company is also highlighting its roadmap towards control tower capability and AI-enabled intelligence, aiming to help operators shift from reactive reporting to predictive, automated decision-making across their networks.

“Our goal is to elevate customers from local execution to network-wide visibility and intelligence,” Steve adds. “That’s how intermodal businesses grow sustainably – not by adding more systems, but by connecting the ones that matter most.”

Fargo Group’s stand, 2.601, at Multimodaal, focuses on strategic discussions with inland terminals, freight forwarders, rail-linked depots, and port-centric logistics providers seeking greater control, visibility, and coordination across their intermodal operations.
