We’re excited to share some big news: Fargo has acquired Bankside Systems, the creators of Intermodal Manager, a cloud-native Terminal Operating System (TOS) that helps inland terminals, depots, and intermodal hubs run their container, equipment, and yard operations more efficiently.
As part of the Fargo family, Intermodal Manager will be rebranded as Fargo TERM (Intermodal Terminal Management). This new addition complements our existing solutions—Fargo TOPS for transport operations and planning, and Fargo Yard for yard and gate coordination—creating a connected ecosystem that supports seamless end-to-end intermodal logistics.
What Fargo TERM brings to the table
Fargo IMTM encompasses everything from yard operations and stock visibility to gate and rail control, maintenance & repair, equipment and stack management, and even customer self-service workflows. By reducing manual processes and providing clear, actionable data, it helps terminal operators improve consistency, safety, and throughput across complex multimodal operations.
Steve Collins, Managing Director of Fargo Group, said:
“This acquisition strengthens Fargo’s position as a leading provider of connected technology in the intermodal sector. Fargo TERM enhances our capabilities in road and yard operations, enabling us to support customers across a broader part of the supply chain. We’re delighted to welcome the Intermodal Manager team and their customers into Fargo, and we look forward to delivering even greater operational visibility, efficiency, and value.”
Ian Rogerson and Michael Weaver, Co-Founders of Intermodal Manager, added:
“Our focus has always been on helping terminal and intermodal operators work smarter through clear workflows, reliable data, and operational control. Fargo shares that philosophy. Becoming Fargo TERM enables the platform to expand within a broader, integrated technology family, offering better opportunities for development, support, and collaboration. We’re confident this will bring real benefits to our customers.”
A stronger partner for the intermodal community
This acquisition represents more than just an expansion of our product portfolio, it’s a step forward in creating a unified technology landscape for intermodal logistics. By combining Fargo’s proven transport and yard management expertise with Bankside’s deep understanding of terminal operations, we can offer an integrated suite that delivers greater visibility and control from the first mile to the last. Our customers will benefit from enhanced data connectivity, simplified workflows, and a more coordinated approach to managing complex, multi-modal supply chains.
This development marks another step in Fargo Group’s journey to provide truly connected technology for the global freight industry, supporting operators in working more intelligently, safely, and efficiently.
